Weight Loss - Steps to Success

Successful Weight Loss -
Steps to Success....
Finally!

Step #3 ...Think Before you EAT

Ever think about "why you ate that...(fill in the blank)"?
A lot of unnecessary calories are wolfed down because you are just throwing in food when you are angry, frustrated, mad, bored...well, you get the picture. So, before you run to the chocolate. cookies, chips, ect., during or after a stressful stituation, take a couple deep breaths and run out of the kitchen!

Also, eating quickly until you are full also leads to being overweight. So, try NOT to get soooo hungry you're "starving"
(which you know you're not. Try to eat little meals more often, to take the edge off.

Overeating is a guaranteed path to weight gain and obesity!!

Weight Loss - Steps to Success

Successful Weight Loss -
Steps to Success....
Finally!

Step #2 ...Right Foods/ Wrong Foods

What's for breakfast? I'm in a hurry and I'm stressed, I'm going to make myself "feel good."
....bagel and cream cheese = 450 calories
....2 scrambled eggs with milk and butter = 197 calories.
Choosing lower calorie, nutrient dense foods will fill you up and keep you healthier than lots of starchy carbs. But, don't forget that it takes about 20 minutes for GOOD food
to make you feel satisfied. It's worth the wait! Keep those veggies coming!

Weight Loss - Steps to Success

Successful Weight Loss -
Steps to Success....
Finally!

Step #1 ...Movement/Exercise
  • People who exercise regularly report 25% less muscle and joint pain as they age!
  • Only 16% of Americans engage in 30 minutes of moderate physical activity 5 days or more per week.
So, get off your chair and move! Make a plan on Sunday night that makes room in your busy schedule for 30 minutes of movement and/or weight training 5 days a week. Do you have a piece of equipment at home that is a great holder for clothes? Do you have a gym membership that you want to cancel because you don't use it? Is there a work out area in your office building? Well..get off it and get on it! Or, if none of the above fit your "M.O." buy some resistance bands and close the door, nobody will know you are secretly building muscle and losing fat.

You will see positive weight loss much, much, much faster if exercise is part of your life.

Acid Foods? Alkaline Foods? What????

Easy & Better Ways to Feel Better

Osteoporosis...caused by what you DO eat?
Joint Pain? Dry skin? Hormonal Problems?
Low Energy and Chronic Fatigue?

Yes, these common ailments can now be traced back
to what you eat! So what's new you may ask? Well,
old research recently brought back to light regarding
the acid/alkaline balance of your body could be the
secret key that could unlock
healing of these ailments and many others.

When you eat a diet high in foods that create acidity in your
system, your body MUST immediately work to bring the acid/alkaline balance back. That means taking calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium from wherever it can find it (first spot, your bones). So eating a lot of dairy, sweets, coffee and animal proteins can actually create the illnesses we are trying so hard to avoid.

TYLENOL - THE BAD BOY

Today, the Food and Drug Administration again, stated that Tylenol and
other acetaminophen products are harmful to the liver! This may come as
a surprise to some people, but there are 56,000 people admitted to hospitals
each year with Tylenol related illnesses. What to do? Well....ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is the other over-the-counter
option for pain relief. Advil and Motrin are some of the better known
NSAID's. The important thing to look at is: why do you have pain? Is there
anything you can do to alleviate it, besides taking pain meds?

Maybe yes! Try reducing: wheat, corn, dairy, and sugar. ALL of these food
groups are known to cause inflammation, the leading cause of pain. Also, digestive enzymes, taken between meals are known to reduce inflammation.
Particularly, Bromelain has been shown to reduce low back pain.
